Ketu Graha is also an imaginary Graha like Rahu Graha. According to Hindu mythology, Ketu is the rest of the body of Rahu. Ketu represents the tail of demon(like Rahu represents the head). During the Samudra manthan, the asura Rahu drank some of the divine nectar, sitting between the Sun and Moon Gods. Rahu disguised himself as God but Sun and Moon both the Gods came to know the reality of Rahu's disguise, and revealed it to Lord Vishnu. Before the nectar could pass his throat, Enraged Vishnu cut the head of Rahu. Since the nectar had reached Rahu's neck by then, the head survived, while the rest of the body turned to ashes. Later the rest of the body was revived and was named Ketu. The two planets are the parts of the same danava(demon) but are 180 degree apart from each other. In Hindu mythology, Ketu is generally referred to as a "Shadow Planet". In Vedic astrology Ketu represents karmic collections both good and bad. It is a karaka or indicator of intelligence, non-attachment, wisdom, fantasy, derangement, psychic abilities and penetrating insight. Ketu is the lord of three nakshatras or lunar mansions: Ashvini, Magha and Mula.
